WINTER 2015

Christmas Letter from Hipster! December 2015
Greetings from the rainy Northwest!

Allow me to introduce myself. I am Kaia and Braeden’s loveable American-Dutch Rabbit. I am going to be two years old this spring. I am black with long brown hair on my feet. Most rabbits dream of living the good life on a farm, quietly sleeping and hopping around for all of their days. Well, that is not my life. Nope! My life is full of surprises and adventure. I never know what is going to happen from day to day. Some days, I get to play in the garage or up in the playroom with the twins as they make forts for my personal comfort. Other days, I get to ride in the chariot attached to the back of Mr. Martin’s bike to pick up the twins from school. They are in second grade this year. I have visited the twin’s classes twice for show and tell. The kids all formed a circle and passed me around while Braeden talked about me to the class. After school, I often play at the playground with the kids and hop around smelling the clover growing around the schools raised garden beds. Braeden will ride in the chariot and hold me on our way back from the school. I’ve only jumped out of the chariot twice during the trip and both times, Mr. Martin found me within the hour. No dice, coyotes!
Once, I was going to ride in the bucket down the zip line that Mr. Martin built for the twins in our back yard but Braeden said it might be too scary for a rabbit. I love to dig in the sandbox, too. Kaia likes to bring me treats. My favorites are carrots, lettuce and apple slices. She never forgets to feed me or check my water (Ahem, Braeden!).

I’m pretty famous. Some of you may have seen pictures of me on Facebook. I also like to play cards and will pick out a card from your hand with my teeth whenever you put the cards in front of me. Sometimes, I take a little bit out of the corner. Whoops!
Life with the Martin twins is full of action. I watch them pack for all kinds of weekend trips. They go skiing, rafting, kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing, hiking, fishing, and sailing. The twins also let me watch them play Minecraft on their ipads. I don’t like the creepers but Steve and blue diamonds are pretty cool. So is blue diamond armor. And red stone. And building houses. And Kaia’s horse game…

This Christmas is special, because Braeden and Kaia got a little red stocking just for me and hung it with theirs above the fireplace. They even wrote my name on it. Braeden helped me write my letter to Santa. I hope I get some carrots! I’ve been very good and hardly ever bite.

Wishing you and your family a very blessed Holiday Season and a Hoppy New Year!
With love, Hipster and the Martin Crew (Bradley, Kristen, Braeden & Kaia)
