4 mile hike with 1500' gain

navigating at Gumjuwac Saddle

Braeden gently caught a butterfly in the preschool classroom during the first week of school.  He ran outside to release it from his little four-year old hands. The class watched it fly away.  I love this scene.
The twins "rowed" their first boat on Lost Lake north of Mt Hood. They caught 2 12"-long trout each. Kaia reeled one in like it was a Marlin. After 20 failed attempts to get the fish in the hand net, Braeden finally picked it up by the string and put it in the net. Whatever works! Now we're having trout for dinner...yum!

Recently, Kristen was explaining to Kaia as she came off the "thinking chair" that hitting her brother is not a good choice. It is painful and hurts her brother's feelings.
